She was immediately famous due to her exceptional acting skills as teenage Casey Jackson in Ulee's Gold. The film in which she starred won the title of Best Young Supporting actor. Summer Catch, a comedy movie that she starred in was a testament to her ability as an actor. In spite of her amazing performance in Rules of Attraction her film did not receive much success. It was later that the public was drawn to her appearance on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre. Her performance in suspense films has proved her serious actors.
