Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a member of SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. The producer was also and costume/set designer writer/composer, and the text coach for SSC during her time as the Artistic Director of SSC. Although she usually led from within the group of actors, at the end of her time, she made her first appearance as an actor (and Lighting Designer) in the SSC's King Lear.
